Privacy Policy.

Space Tech Explorers runs space education programmes for young learners. This policy covers the information you send us through the forms on this website. We do not use cookies, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking on this site. The only measurement we do is a cookieless count of page visits, described just below. If you never submit a form, we never collect anything that identifies you.

To learn which pages people find useful, our hosting provider Vercel counts page visits for us. It sets no cookies, stores no IP address, and cannot follow a visitor from one day to the next or across other sites. What we see is aggregate only: how many times a page was viewed, which site the visitor came from, their country, and the type of device. It is never linked to a form submission, an account, or a child.

The exceptions are the sign-in areas: the one used by our own teachers, and the one for families enrolled in the CubeSat programme. They use only the cookies needed to keep a person signed in, and nothing on them tracks anyone.

The page where a class opens its session with a code from their teacher uses two cookies, and asks for no name, email or account. One remembers, for about a school day, which class code that browser entered, so a student does not have to type it again. The other is a random number kept for ten minutes after a mistyped code, so that guessing can be limited. Neither identifies a student, and neither is used to track anyone.

We collect information when you choose to submit one of our forms. We do not buy information about you, and we do not collect it from anywhere else.

Space Academy and Mini Satellite interest forms

Parent or guardian name, email address, phone number, timezone, and preferred contact method. These forms are for adults. We do not ask for a student's name, age, date of birth, or photograph.

General inquiry form

Your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and a description of your question.

Partner form

Your name, learning centre name, address, email address, and phone number, submitted in a business capacity.

Careers form

Your name, college, specialisation, email address, phone number, location, and the background description you write.

CubeSat programme accounts

A parent or guardian enrolled in the CubeSat programme creates an account to sign in: their name, email address and a password. We also keep which cohort the account has joined. When a parent adds a child to the programme, we also keep the child's first name or nickname, school grade and year of birth, a username for the child, and the child's progress. Section 04 says more about this.

Every form

The date and time you submitted it, and a record of the consent you gave, including the version of this policy in force at the time.

Free-text boxes are yours to fill in as you like, so please do not type information you would rather we did not hold — particularly details about a child. We only need enough to reply to you.

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, to give you details about the programme you asked about, and to arrange enrolment if you go ahead. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's advertising. We do not add you to unrelated marketing.

We keep a form submission for three years from the date you send it, and then delete it. If you register for a programme, that three years runs from the date you registered. Deletion happens on a scheduled basis, not on request only.

If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so, unless we are required to keep a specific record by law — in which case we will tell you what we are keeping and why.

Your information is stored in our own database and is seen by the Space Tech Explorers staff who need it to reply to you. We rely on a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

Neon

Database hosting, where submissions are stored.

Vercel

Website and form hosting, and the cookieless page-visit counts described in section 01.

Clerk

Sign-in for our teacher area and for CubeSat programme accounts. It holds the names, email addresses and passwords of teachers and enrolled parents, and, for a child a parent has added, the first name, username, password, grade and year of birth. It never receives anything you submit through a form.

Make.com

Receives a copy of your submission so it can notify our team that you have written to us. The notification is delivered to contact@spacetechexplorers.com.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We will not do so quietly where we are free to tell you.

Whoever you are, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to contact@spacetechexplorers.com and we will respond within 15 days.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the CCPA or the GDPR, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We honour these requests regardless of where you are.

Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in an access-controlled database. Access is limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise — but we do not keep what we do not need, which is the most reliable protection there is.

If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Where the change affects information we have already collected from you, we will contact you and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
